Our Program
Our primary purpose in breeding is to advance our own line of show dogs. We live with the same family of dogs that we put into pet homes. Our ideal poodle is a lively, elegant, easy to live with companion animal. We choose pairings thoughtfully and always aim to make improvements with each new generation. We prove our breeding dogs by actively showing and titling in AKC conformation. We health test to or above CHIC requirements with results submitted to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals public database.
Our puppies are raised with socialization practices informed by Puppy Culture, Avidog, and knowledge shared by experienced breeders we know and trust. We use a modified version of Early Neurological Stimulation that emphasizes daily handling and includes a massage protocol. They are desensitized to a variety of sights and sounds, socialized with all of our household animals including adult dogs of different breeds, a dog-savvy cat, rabbits, and chickens, introduced to grooming at only a few weeks old, litter box trained to begin potty training, taken on car rides, started on crate training the last few weeks they are with us, and more.
We dock all of our puppies tails to an appropriate show length at a few days old but choose to leave dewclaws intact. The majority of our puppies are sold as companions only with limited AKC registration (if you are interested in a potential show puppy please email us an enquiry) and all puppies are microchipped before they leave us. We follow a typical vaccination and deworming schedule.
A little about us
We are a sister partnership with a shared passion. Rachel has been a professional groomer for more than a decade and brought her first show poodle puppy home in 2018. She spent several years as an assistant to a professional handler building a skillset for show grooming. Chelsea is a breed history and genetics nerd with a special interest in pedigree research. We’re proud to show our dogs owner-handled and presented.
